Thing 53
I guess this would actually be things 53+. Â 7 pair of underwear, 5 1/2 pair of socks and 2 undershirts.
However, socks, underwear and undershirts are in the same category in my mind-undergarments- so I’m counting them as one “thing”. Â I really dislike the word undergarments.
And in all fairness, I bought new socks and underwear, so I guess it’s a wash.
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
Thing 52
I’ve had this winter hat for about 6+ years. Â I bought it at an H&M in Philadelphia on a chilly visit to see Gregg and Josh. Â I believe it cost $6. Â But then again, it seems like everything at H&M costs about $6.
The hat was a great companion (those who know me know my affection for hats, especially winter hats), but it is time to say goodbye. Â It’ll be football season soon, so I’ll have to find a replacement to keep me warm as I watch the Jets struggle through another season of drama.
Thing 51
I found The Bhagavad-Gita walking down Main St. in Beacon. Â It was outside on a book rack with other free books. Â This was months ago. Â I started reading it and put it down because Life of Pi was pulling me a little harder, and I’m the kind of person who can only read one thing at a time. Â That said, I also put down Life of Pi in favor of trudging my way through Lost, all 100+ episodes. Â I’m almost finished with that series, so if any of you have anything to say about Lost, please hold off for another month or so.
I do want to eventually read The Bhagavad-Gita, but I don’t need to keep it on my desk while waiting. Â It found me once, it will find me again.
Thing 50
Thing 50. Â Wow.
Okay, I loved this movie. Â I’m a big fan of Oliver Stone. Â And Bob Richardson, who was my idol when I was deeply motivated to become a Director of Photography. Â I was a PA on set with Richardson when he shot the Scorsese’s Bringing out the Dead. Â Fantastic to watch.
I saw JFK in the theater (maybe twice) and then multiple viewings on DVD. Â However, I have so little time to watch movies (especially 3 hour long movies) that I have to let this go. Â Plus, I imagine I can find it in a remastered higher resolution somewhere on the interwebs. Â Which would be awesome.
