Murano glass wine stopper.
File this under the thank you-but-no-thank you category.
My folks recently vacationed in Italy, and aside from having a fantastic time, they brought me back this wine stopper.
I find a number of things odd about this gift. First, they gave it to me while I’m in the middle of this process of purging my things. Weird. Second, this stopper is not really my style. Third, I drink wine, but not often enough to warrant a glass stopper. Especially one as (I imagine) expensive as this.
So I appreciate their thought and generosity, but will offer this back to them. If they decline, I’ll see how much I can fetch on the open market….
